THE SHRINE OF OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE PARISH is creating our "Hill of Tepeyac". The slope surrounding the parking lot is being transformed into a place where the five apparitions of Our Lady of Guadalupe and an image of St. Juan Diego will be placed. Arlene Cisneros Sena, a well known Santa Fe Santera, is presently painting the images on 5 ft. x 3 ft. retablos. Photos of these paintings will be transferred to ceramic tile which will placed just above the wall. This area will also be landscaped with rocks and native New Mexico plants and shrubs. Additionally, we received the status of New Mexico Shrine by Archbishop Sheehan and were given approval to start the Our Lady of Guadalupe Institute, which will be devoted to the studies of Our Lady of Guadalupe, our dedication of both the Hill of Tepeyac and the Institute are scheduled for August 14, 2011. We have begun a campaign to raise monies to pay for these projects. Thus far, we have pledges totaling $15,000.00 fro parishioners. and are asking for donations and pledges and will be selling raffle tickets for these projects, please contact Dolores Romero at 983-8868 for information.

Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe - Perpetual Adoration Adorers needed It was stated by Mother Teresa: When you first come to know Jesus, you learn how to pray. When you pray, stand straight. When you pray, your vocation is strong. When you pray, you begin to love. When your prayer diminishes, your vocation is in great danger. Set aside one hour a week out of a day or night and commit that one hour for Perpetual Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament where Jesus is present in the Eucharist. There are 24 hours in a day - chose one of the hours. Please contact Therese Quintana-Doolittle at 471-8176 if after 6:00 PM or leave a message you are interested in committing to one hour as a scheduled adorer or if you are available to substitute for a scheduled adorer.
