WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH?
If you or someone you know has a desire to learn moreabout the Roman Catholic religion, please contact the adult religious formation office at 982-3625. Our parish offers a year-long opportunity for inquiry and catechumenate sessions.

WELCOME CATECHUMENS AND CANDIDATES! The period of the pre-catechumenate has drawn to a close. We are blessed to welcome and accept eight catechumens into the catechumenate period along with fifteen candidates who wish to receive full communion with the Roman Catholic Church. We thank God who through the Holy Spirit and the community of believers has sought, summoned and called these persons to enter more fully into the study and prayer required during the formal catechumenate period. Please remember the catechumens and the candidates in your prayers.

Liturgy of the Word for Children Ages Three and Four

An opportunity for three and four year old children to hear the Sunday Scripture presented on their level is offered during the 10:00 a.m and Noon Mass each Sunday.  The children are dismissed after the Opening Prayer of the Mass to go to the parish hall.  They rejoin their families at the Preparation of the Gifts.

Grades Pre K-5 Religious Education

The faith formation of the elementary child, grades K - 5 , takes place on Sunday morning between 10:00-11:40 a.m. followed by Mass at noon.  Classes are held in the former St. Francis Cathedral School at the corner of Paseo de Peralta and Alameda.  Parking available behind the school.

A formal faith formation opportunity designed for three and four year olds whose families are participating in the formal religious education classes and/or adult formation sessions is offered on Sunday mornings, 10:00 a.m.-11:40 a.m.  The program includes learning the Catholic ABC's, music and other religious activities along with a snack.

The summer catechetical program for children going into Pre-K through grade four is offered during two weeks in June during the morning hours.  This special summer program does not replace the classes offered during the regular school term.  The registration for the summer catechetical program is held in May of each year.

Adult Faith Formation

Families of children enrolled in the Sunday morning religious education classes are encouraged to participate in the adult formation sessions held on Sunday mornings, between 10:00 a.m. and 11:40 a.m.  All parishioners are welcome to participate in these sessions.  The sessions are held at the former St. Francis Cathedral School Building located at the corner of Paseo de Peralta and Alameda.  Parking available behind the school.

 Adult Enrichment Program
